This is April?!?

This was our white-knuckled drive back home. In April! I thought spring was finally here. Guess not.

It actually doesn't look that bad in this picture. But it was bad. Really, really bad. That white you see there on the road is not just a dusting of snow. Oh no. It's about two inches of solid ice, occasionally with ruts in it that would threaten to throw you around. I should have taken pictures of the semis flipped over in the ditch, but I didn't want to be distracting hubby too much.

I've been trying to find some crib bedding that I like. I knew I needed something neutral, since we're not finding out what we're having. But I didn't want Disney characters. I didn't want frogs. And I didn't want a jungle safari theme.

My job sent me to a conference in Las Vegas.

The conference kept us busy (some days we'd start at 6 am and not be done until 8 pm).

But we did take a couple of evenings off to see the city. And we went to see Mamma Mia, which was great.
